The epicenter of the earthquake was 637 kilometers away from the Sirikit Dam. The acceleration at the dam was measured at 0.00052g. The dam is designed to withstand earthquakes of 0.1-0.2g. The EGAT is currently assessing the aftershock situation and will provide electricity without affecting the public.
